We are currently seeking a dedicated Driver/Mover’s Helper to join our team and help us continue exceeding our customers’ expectations.
Job Purpose
As a Driver/Mover’s Helper, your primary responsibility will be transporting goods safely and efficiently between commercial and customer locations. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries, vital to maintaining our reputation for reliability and service quality. The role is essential for the overall functioning of our business, as efficient transportation directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational success.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 26′ box truck to transport goods and materials to various locations.
- Load and unload items safely, ensuring proper handling and care of cargo.
- Follow route plans and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure safety and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including shipping documents and driver logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates and address any issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during all driving activities.
- Carrying boxes up and down stairs safely
- Installing, assembling, and disassembling furniture and other household items
- Packing items, including breakables, carefully
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not required).
- Clean driving record with no significant or major violations.
- Previous experience in driving, moving, or delivery services is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks involved in loading/unloading.
- Strong time management and navigational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
